Maximum moisturizing benefits

MHM is very popular because it helps users achieve visible and tangible results. Here are some of the benefits people have after trying MHM:

  • Wet strands better resist hair damage, dryness and split ends.
  • Enhanced ability to retain moisture.
  • Easier styling sessions.
  • Increase curl definition.
  • Reduce wrinkle.

In the following sections, we’ll tell you exactly how to do maximum hydration.

How to do the ultimate hydration method

Before we move on to the steps of MHM, we’d like to give you a fair warning. The ultimate moisturizing method requires 2 hours of your time and effort.

But by the end of your first session, you will be amazed at the difference in your hair! Let’s get into it.

1. Before You Begin (Low Porosity Hair Only)

If you have low porosity hair, you should start with the Cherry Lola treatment.

It will prepare your hair for the follow-up process by opening up the scalp, smoothing and nourishing your strands with yogurt and amino acids.

To do the Cherry Lola treatment, do the following:

  • Mix 2 tablespoons of baking soda, 2 cups of plain yogurt, and 2 tablespoons of amino acids in a bowl.
  • Apply the mixture to your hair. You can divide it into 4 to 6 sections first if necessary to ensure even distribution. Once the mixture has been applied to each section, twist or braid it to secure it.
  • Put a plastic cap on and leave the treatment for up to half an hour.
  • Rinse your hair with the mixture and then move on to step 2.

2. Clarify your natural hair

The second step in MHM is to clarify your hair. You have a few options: shampoo, use baking soda and conditioner, or rinse out the apple cider vinegar.

Here are the instructions for each method of hair lightening:

Use a clarifying shampoo

To shampoo your hair, you should apply a clarifying shampoo to your hands, of course – but not just any cleansing shampoo.

Choose one that is sulfate-free and made with natural ingredients that nourish hair, like Aquableu Apple Cider Vinegar Shampoo. It will deeply cleanse your hair without completely stripping it of moisture.

All you have to do is wet your hair well, then apply shampoo and lather and rinse well. Make sure you concentrate the shampoo on your scalp, as this shampoo builds up.

Use a conditioner and a baking soda rinse

Get an empty spray bottle and fill it with ½ cup of your favorite sulfate-free conditioner and ½ tablespoon of baking soda.

Mix them together and apply to your dry hair. After 15-30 minutes, rinse your hair with the mixture and move on to step 3.

Rinse off apple cider vinegar

Another way that you can purify your hair is by rinsing it with apple cider vinegar.

  • Mix one part apple cider vinegar with twice the amount of water in an empty spray bottle and rotate to mix.
  • Spray the apple cider vinegar mixture on the roots and scalp.
  • Spread the mixture on your scalp to clean it up and remove any buildup.
  • Spray the rest of your hair with the solution apple cider vinegar mixtureThen rinse it off completely.

3. Kwash and gently detangle hair

Now that your hair is clean, it’s time to de-tangle your hair. This is how we do it:

  • Wet your hair well.
  • Gently separate your hair into 4 to 6 sections (braid or twist each section to keep it secure).
  • Undo one section and quash it. Massage into the scalp and run it along your hair.
  • While the cow is still in the section, grab a rat’s tail comb and untangle it.
  • Repeat the previous two steps for the rest of the sections.

Your hair should now be clean and Detangling. Go to the next step.

4. Bentonite Clay Rinse

Bentonite clay not only cleanses your scalp and hair, but also leaves your hair stronger and more resilient. Here are the steps to take in order to bentonite clay rinse.

  • Mix 1 cup of bentonite clay with 1 cup of water with a paddle attachment. If you have a lot of hair, double the recipe. Feel free to add a tablespoon each of olive oil and raw honey to the clay for some extra moisture.
  • Apply the clay to your wet hair in sections. If the clay is thick and lumpy, add more water.
  • After applying the clay to your entire hair, leave it in for up to 20 minutes.
  • Rinse your hair well, being careful not to split your hair. Allow the water to soften the clay before you start touching and moving your hair.

5. Leave-in conditioner, gel or cream

After you have finished rinsing the bentonite clay, apply a Leave-in conditioner Apply to your hair in sections from roots to ends. Do the same with the gel or cream.

You can use the praying hand method to smooth product through your strands or smooth curls in small sections (wooden plate) for maximum definition.

Once you have applied your styling products, shake selected curls to separate them. From this point on, until your curls are dry, try not to touch them to keep them frizz-free.

We recommend letting your hair air-dry rather than blow-dry it, as blow-drying helps maintain your hair’s moisture levels and reduce frizz.

Optional step: stretching

Type 4 hair can shrink up to 80%. So, if you want to enjoy more of your length, we recommend your hair extensions.

To quickly stretch your hair, gently separate dry curls into 4 to 6 sections and gently twist each section. Leave your hair twisted for at least half an hour, then remove the braids.

At this point, you can gently blow-dry your hair with your fingers or a hair cube. I have finished!
