How to choose the best workout leggings
✔️Decide what type of leg you will need. When it comes to choosing the right pair of leggings, you must know what you plan to use them for. “If you use them for regular everyday wear, I don’t recommend using workout leggings. There are other options that are made of cotton with a more breathable fabric, which is better for just walking around but not best for exercising,” explains Braganza. And if you’re planning to do yoga, you may prefer high-waisted leggings that offer tummy control and a longer length to protect your skin during floor movements.
✔️Find the right material. “If you’re looking to get an intense daily workout, I suggest wearing leggings made with a spandex and polyester blend,” Braganza says. Spandex helps keep the shape, especially if you wash it often. This combination has a nice and comfortable fit. They’re a little lax, so they’re not too tight thanks to the elastic.” If you also tend to sweat quickly, look for fabrics designed to absorb sweat and keep your skin dry. ✔️Do a squat test. To find the perfect fit, Braganza recommends trying on all leggings before purchasing. “Put it on and do a squat to see if it stays straight around the waist,” she says. High-waisted leggings are best if you’re looking for options that won’t leak easily, she says. “Try different moves from the exercises you’ll be doing and test their fit, making sure they stay still and don’t show anything.”
